Five Year Plan
Building the Movement
Built a movement of 250,000 members, each of who has made a firm commitment
after having direct interaction with the Human Family Movement. They will have,
at a minimum, made a financial donation and signed a pledge such as:
I am committed to humanity and the Earth having a long, bright future,
surviving and thriving for thousands of years.
This membership will include individuals on
at least 4 continents, at least 10 countries and 40 States.
Established an organizational program that uses diversified, multi-media formats to educate the general public about the miraculous transformations resulting from sustainable development around the world and the brilliant and promising partnerships developing between diverse people across geographical, political, cultural, and economic distances.
Instituted a National Speakers Bureau whose style exemplifies a "personal family touch".
Methods
The work of the organization falls into four basic categories:
-
Building the organization/movement. While fundraising is a key result of this
work, the development of a movement of people who have as their goal the
success of humanity is in itself an essential and powerful endeavor. Outreach,
fundraising, communications, media work and event production are all involved
in this. In the very early stages these efforts will consume more than half the
resources of the organization. As the movement achieves momentum that
percentage will shrink dramatically. Events will play a key role.
-
Selecting effective NGOs to support, and auditing the results of our support.
-
Funding, promoting, and providing other key supports to effective NGOs.
-
Educating the global public about the miracles that result; leveraging the media to get our message out.
Launch events: While written materials and personal communications will play a
key role in building the movement, at the early stages events will provide the
catalyst for people to make a commitment to the future by joining the movement.
Buying Our Future launch events will take place first in the San Francisco
Bay Area in 2005, and quickly spread to other areas.
The purpose of each launch event is to create a base of membership and funding
for The Human Family movement in a specific area. Funds from the first 3-6
launch events will be used primarily to finance the creation and expansion of
the movement. Funds from subsequent launch events will continue to fund the
expansion of the movement but will be primarily channeled to NGOs to fulfill
the Human Family Movement mission.
Organizational Support

- Physical Location for HFM operations (possibly in the Flood Building)
- Paid Support Staff to assure compliance and coordiation
- Developed and implemented comprehensive and effective management practices, including paid and volunteer personnel practices, that are an expression of our mission and vision, and be operating as a model institution that demonstrates the possibility of effective cooperative achievement.
- Trained and developed a core leadership group of at least 18 individuals on at least three continents, each of whom is prepared and committed to drive and direct the completion of the mission and vision should the others be incapable of doing so.
- eveloped and implemented effective practices for managing all relationships based upon treating each person as family 100% of the time, resulting in unprecedented levels of support, participation, and creative action by our members.
- Integrated representative of all stakeholders, particularly supported NGOs and their beneficiaries, into our key planning, management, and decision-making processes in a cooperative, effective manner that is based upon a deep respect for each individual and each community, however defined.
Resource Investment
- Established criteria, selection and auditing practices, and organizational infrastructure to support funding the operations of specific transparent NGOs that produce extraordinary results in sustainable development in select geopolitical areas, whose missions are related to reducing hunger, building economic self-sufficiency, fair treatment and equal opportunity, environmental regeneration, eco-friendly technologies, and peace.
- Have, directly or indirectly via our members, raised over $50,000,000.00 that fund non-profits that are forwarding our mission, from at least 300,000 donors (that we know of and can measure).
- Built relationships with other high level organizations having similar scope and mission, and be working cooperatively to avoid redundancy and achieve the greatest joint impact on shared mission goals.
- Established collaborative relationships with 30 NGO partners.
